What do you get when you mix local oilfield culture, two characters with attitude and a few newer creative tools? You get a fast short built for Monkey Boyz Oilfield Services in Drayton Valley.
The cut leans into quick beats and clean pacing. It keeps the fun while staying simple to watch and easy to share — a good fit for short-form business video and promotional content.
This was not supposed to feel like a traditional corporate spot. The whole point was to make something memorable, local and easy to share while still keeping the Monkey Boyz name front and centre.
The humor gave the piece personality. The short runtime made it useful for social media. The oilfield setting kept it connected to the audience the business actually serves.
This piece was built with Veo 3 using still frames, motion prompts and a lot of iteration. Consistency mattered, so I controlled the character look, visual style and timing from shot to shot. The AI was a tool inside the production, not the whole idea. The concept, pacing, edit and final story still had to work. That is how I approach AI-assisted marketing video when it actually fits the job.
