The main Athena film was really about the plant. The goal was to show how the Edmonton operation works — the production process, food-safety standards, formulas and quality controls — and demonstrate that the same model could be replicated as the company looked toward opening in Ontario.

The Client

Athena Gourmet has more than 30 years of experience making donair products. The federally inspected Edmonton plant operates as Food Plus More, with Halal Fresh Farms as a division.

They produce branded and white-label products for restaurants, distributors and larger food-service customers across Canada and the United States.

Showing A Proven Plant Model That Could Be Replicated

This was not primarily a people-focused company profile. The plant was the story. I focused on the equipment, workflow, product handling, food production and the systems behind the finished product so the video could show a working model that was already proven in Edmonton.

The plant operates under more than 40 food-safety regulations in its daily work. Just as important, the formula, process and quality expectations stay the same. That consistency was central to the expansion story: a new plant in Ontario could follow the same production model and produce to the same standard.

Plant Story First. More Content Around It.

The manufacturing film was the core piece, but the production also created useful customer and social content around it. The plant footage established how Athena makes the product; the customer pieces showed where that product ends up and how it performs in real businesses.

01 Athena Plant & Expansion Film Main story about the Edmonton manufacturing plant, process, quality and repeatable production model.
02 Swiss Donair Testimonial A real customer talking about Athena in its own restaurant.
03 Maina's Donair Testimonial Another customer story, filmed around the business and food.
04 Social Reels Dedicated vertical pieces Swiss and Maina's could use themselves.

Swiss Donair Customer Testimonial Video

The Swiss Donair piece supported the larger plant story with a customer perspective. It showed the finished product in a real restaurant and added outside proof that Athena's manufacturing consistency carries through to the businesses using it.

Maina's Donair Customer Testimonial Video

Maina's gave Athena a second customer perspective. The restaurant footage helped connect the manufacturing side of the story to the product as it is actually prepared and served.

Repurposing Corporate Video For Social Media

The testimonials didn't have to stop at YouTube. I also repurposed the footage into dedicated vertical social media reels for Swiss Donair and Maina's Donair, focused on their own businesses and ready for their own channels.

Athena got customer proof to support the manufacturing story. The restaurants got content of their own. The same production footage worked in several different ways.

What The Client Said

The Customer Pieces Supported The Plant Story

Swiss Donair and Maina's Donair were both proud of and pleased with their finished pieces. They also gave Athena something the plant film could not provide on its own: customer-side proof that the product coming out of the operation was consistent and working in real restaurants.

Filming The Manufacturing Process Clearly

I handled the Edmonton production directly — planning, filming the plant, interviews, food and product B-roll, and the final edit. The challenge was making a working food-production facility understandable on screen without slowing the video down.

The interviews were there to explain what viewers were seeing, but the manufacturing process remained the centre of the film. I used the plant footage to show repeatability: the same formula, the same procedures, the same quality expectations and a system that could be carried into another facility.

Different projects need different approaches. These are a few other examples of corporate, recruitment and brand video work where the story is built around what the client actually needs to communicate.
