Mitsubishi Sales Recognition Video, Edmonton Case Study
Client: Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada
Location: Kross Mitsubishi, Edmonton
Project type: Sales recognition video for a national awards ceremony
Relationship: Three years in a row
For three years in a row, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada has trusted me to produce short videos recognizing top salespeople for its national awards ceremony. The aim each time is simple: keep it personal and efficient, and build it around real people rather than a scripted corporate piece. It's a good example of the interview-led corporate video production I do for Edmonton and Alberta clients.
What The Client Said
"We worked with David for an interview-style video to be used at a business recognition event. He was professional and delivered exactly what we needed in a short time span. We'll work with him again for sure!"

Edmonton Corporate Recognition Video
Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada came to me with a clear objective: a short video that recognized top-performing salespeople and made the recognition feel personal. The goal was to highlight success and pride without over-producing it.
The work has continued for three years in a row, with dealership profiles filmed in Edmonton for the company's national awards ceremony.
I was given basic creative guidelines and room to shape the piece. With a couple of hours on site at Kross Mitsubishi in Edmonton, I captured interviews and B-roll on an active dealership floor, working around customers and staff, then built the edit around the people being recognized. No handoffs and no bloated crew: I was the one person accountable from the first call to the final edit, which is the advantage of owner-operated video production.
What The Video Needed To Do
This wasn't a long brand film. It had a specific job: recognize people, give the event something polished to play, and make the salespeople on screen feel like the focus.
That meant short interviews, moving visuals and an edit clean enough to support the recognition without getting in the way of it.
Interview-Led Corporate Video Production
Shot on location with a lean setup, using natural light where it worked. Short, guided interviews kept things relaxed and real. The final cut blends concise soundbites, dealership B-roll and branded graphics. The same approach works for corporate interviews, employee recognition videos and company profile videos.
Tools Used
- Sony A7 IV with lavalier audio for interviews
- Lightweight movement setup for dealership B-roll
- Shot and edited within the week to meet the internal deadline
Why A Recognition Video Works
A name read from a stage is forgotten by dessert. A short video of the salesperson, their dealership and the people around them gives the moment weight, and it's something they can share with family and their team afterward.
For a national company, local filming also means the honouree is recognized where they actually work, without flying anyone in. If you're planning an awards night, see why video beats written words for this kind of story.
