Get a Video Production Quote Without the Agency Layers

Tell me what you need to communicate, who needs to see it, where the finished content will be used, and your rough timeline. I will help shape the approach and quote the real production work — planning, filming, photography, editing, travel, and any specialized pieces — without padding the job with unnecessary crew or agency markup.

David Mathew Bonner Video Productions is owner-operated from Drayton Valley, serving Edmonton, Central Alberta, and clients across the province, with select corporate and NDA-based projects across Canada.

How Your Project Moves

One creator · Five clear stages
Step one

Start With the Goal

We start with a real conversation. I want to know what you are trying to communicate, who needs to hear it, where the finished piece will live, what success looks like, and what practical limits we need to work within.

Sometimes a client already has a clear brief. Sometimes all they have is a rough idea. Both are fine. Part of my job is finding the useful story before we spend money shooting it.

For Alberta projects, I can also visit the location when seeing the space will help me plan the production properly.

You get

A clear purpose, audience, scope, and next step before production gets complicated.

Step two

Build the Plan

I shape the concept, interview approach, questions or script, locations, b-roll, schedule, and deliverables. We decide what the story actually needs and what can be left out.

You will know how the production day is expected to run, what I need from your team, and what we are creating before the cameras arrive. Good planning keeps the shoot efficient without making it rigid.

You get

A practical production plan, schedule, and shared understanding of what we are making.

Step three

Film It Properly

For most projects I handle the camera, lighting, sound, interviews, direction, and b-roll directly. That is intentional: communication stays short, I know what the edit will need, and I can adjust quickly when something better happens than what we planned.

Scripted or conversational, I keep people comfortable and the day moving. If a project genuinely needs a second camera, additional photography, or specialized support, I can scale the production without turning it into a circus.

You get

Professional footage, clean audio, useful coverage, and a shoot that respects your people, location, and schedule.

Edit the Story

The same person who heard the original brief and filmed the material also edits it. I build the structure, tighten interviews, choose the visuals that actually support the message, clean the audio, colour the footage, add music, titles, graphics, and the versions you need.

I also use AI-assisted tools where they genuinely improve the work — for cleanup, restoration, audio enhancement, or occasional creative elements that would be impractical to capture traditionally. The story and editorial judgement stay human-led.

You get

A strong first cut built by someone who understands the project from the inside, plus a clear review process for revisions.

Deliver What You Can Use

I deliver clearly named files for the places you actually need them: websites, YouTube, LinkedIn, social media, presentations, trade-show displays, internal communications, advertising, and broadcast when required.

Shorter edits, vertical versions, alternate cuts, still frames, or future updates can be built into the scope. I keep projects organized so useful material does not disappear the moment the first video is finished.

You get

Ready-to-use deliverables, organized masters, and one person who already knows the project when you need the next version.

Tell Me About the Project

You do not need a finished script, shot list, or perfect brief. Tell me the goal, audience, location, timeline, deliverables, and rough budget if you know it. I will ask whatever is missing and put together a clear quote based on the actual work the project needs.

Your information is used only to respond to your project inquiry and is kept private.

Not sure what you need yet?

Send the rough idea anyway. A lot of projects start that way. I will tell you what I think makes sense, what probably does not, and when a simpler or less expensive approach will do the job.

Basic consultations are free. I usually reply within one business day, often faster when I am not on a shoot.

Best fit: small and medium-sized businesses and organizations across Alberta, communications teams that want direct production support, and select larger corporate or NDA-based projects across Canada.
