Case Study: Capturing the Story of Posh Outdoors
Listening First, Filming Second
When Posh Outdoors reached out, their vision was clear. They wanted to invite people into the beauty of Skyridge Glamping and open the door for future partnerships with landowners. Before I rolled a single frame, I listened to what mattered most and shaped production around that story. The goal was more than showcasing luxury units in a stunning location. I wanted to capture the heart of their mission, to expand chances for people to enjoy the outdoors in comfort and style.
Authenticity in the Details
I kept the interview conversational and let their words flow, then cut the footage into segments that stayed true to their voice. To complement the story, I added drone passes, wide landscapes, and a Milky Way timelapse I captured while staying overnight in one of their units. These visuals were not for spectacle. They reinforced the authenticity and beauty of the setting.
Building a Narrative with Purpose
Every edit moved the story forward with clarity and flow. By weaving their words with immersive scenery and the feel of the property, the video became more than a highlight reel. It became a narrative that speaks to potential guests and to landowner partners who may want to join the Posh Outdoors vision.
Expanding the Vision
Posh Outdoors is not limited to one location. Their aim is to expand wherever the landscape, activities, and setting can create memorable stays. This project was more than capturing a property. It was an invitation for landowners to see the opportunity and for guests to discover a unique way to connect with nature without giving up comfort.
Great video production is not about fancy gear. It is about finding the story that matters and telling it with honesty and care.
Takeaway
This project reminded me that video production is at its best when it starts with listening. By understanding Posh Outdoors vision and pairing it with cinematic storytelling, I delivered a piece that feels authentic, polished, and purpose driven. That is the work I aim to bring to every client, in Edmonton, across Alberta, and beyond.
